Founder and Lead Instructor of Public Safety and Education (a.k.a. PS&Ed), Matthew J. Mallory is a U.S. Army veteran, former adjunct college professor, nationally recognized self-defense educator, and published author.
Matt is a highly experienced firearms instructor whose passion for weapons and self-defense began at a very young age. Alex Ferrer, owner of Veritas International LLC and Veritas Tactical, LLC, has over 19 years of experience in Law Enforcement and over 11 years of experience in the private security and intelligence field. His knowledge and expertise include investigating violent crimes, managing and conducting undercover operations and tactics, participating as a member of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Unit, field training officer for Orange County Sheriff’s Office, as well as working with other federal law enforcement agencies such as DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency), ICE (Immigration Customs Enforcement), FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigations) and the Secret Service. Shannon "the Cannon" Ritch has worked in the Independent Executive Protection field for both private and corporate clients. As a CQC/CQB instructor for ICCIA (International Close Combat Instructor Association), he taught CIA, FBI, Military, Special Forces, and SWAT agencies. As a Professional Mixed Martial Arts Fighter, he maintained proficiency in martial arts through training, teaching, and competing (6 time World Champion).

Pamela Barnum worked for years undercover in the Drug Enforcement Section. She learned real-world techniques for building trust and interpreting body language.
